For short bookings (2 to 3 hours), we recommend taking the short route. For longer routes (4 to 6 hours), you can go boating to the Alde Feanen.

De Alde Feanen
Tip: De Alde Feanen is one of the twenty national parks in the Netherlands—and for good reason. De Alde Feanen is a unique area with a rich natural and cultural history, formed by peat extraction.
The lowland peat bog, which covers more than 4,000 hectares, is home to as many as 450 plant species and serves as a breeding ground for more than 100 bird species, including the white-tailed eagle. The area is located in the heart of Fryslân, surrounded by a number of picturesque villages and not far from Leeuwarden, Drachten, and Heerenveen. more information

Tip: Just behind the Alde Feanen National Park lies the city of Grou. Stop by the Tea House for a snack and a drink, and then continue your boat trip toward the Alde Feanen, for example.
